Description: Colocasia esculenta 'Illustris' is a hardy tropical grown for it’s large ornamental foliage. Leaves are green with purple coloration between the veins. Growing from a tuber, it reaches 5’ at maturity, and goes dormant somewhere around 45°F. 'Illustris' is a moist shade lover but will do best with some filtered sun. Imperial Taro is tolerant of boggy conditions, it offers a nice contrast to understory ferns. Large tropical leaf shaded dark gray to black highlighted with veins and edges of lime green; zones 8-11. Produced from tissue culture.

With it’s long, tropical looking leaves, Cordyline ‘Red Sensation’ is an exceptional plant to use for height and texture in container plantings. Red Sensation Cordyline has a bronzy red foliage and grows to about 36 inches tall and it’s leaves are longer and more narrow than that of the Dracaenas.
