Aloidendron ramosissimum (syn. Aloe ramosissima)
Family: Asphodelaceae
Common Name: Maiden’s Quiver Tree
Origin: Native to the Richtersveld region on the South Africa–Namibia border
Description:
Aloidendron ramosissimum is a rare, smaller relative of the Quiver Tree (*A. dichotomum*). Unlike its towering cousin, it branches from a young age, forming a multi-stemmed shrub 6–10 ft (1.8–3 m) tall. Each branch ends in tight rosettes of blue-green leaves edged with fine teeth. Its compact, bushy habit makes it appear more like a giant succulent shrub than a single-trunked tree.
In winter, clusters of bright yellow flowers appear at the branch tips, providing nectar for pollinators and seasonal color against its sculptural form.
